Extra Ordinary è una mostra fotografica di Gilberto Allesina, aperta a Carpi in occasione del FestivalFilosofia 2022, per la quale ho curato l'intera identità visiva; dal manifesto, agli e-vite, alla brochure e il press kit, ma anche i banner e i pannelli espositivi usati per le foto.
I testi che si trovano nei vari supporti visivi sono della curatrice della mostra, Giuditta Alessandra Mottura.
Extra Ordinary is a photo exhibition by Gilberto Allesina, opened in Carpi in conjuction with FestivalFilosofia 2022, for which I curated whole the branding; iincluding - between other things - a poster, e-vites, a catalogue and a press-kit, but also banners and display panels used for the photo's captions. The captions found in the various brochures and panels were written by the exhibiton's curator, Giuditta Alessandra Mottura.
Tutta l'identità visiva della mostra è caratterizzata da una palette monocromatica in bianco e nero, stessi colori delle foto esibite, per non distogliere l'attenzione del visitatore dai soggetti fotografati, protagonisti della mostra. La linea grafica seguita si basa sulle variazioni tipografiche date dall'abbinamento di un font sans serif e uno serifato, senza la presenza di altre grafiche superflue.
The whole visual identity of the exhibition is charachterized by a monochromatic palette of black and white, the same colors of the photos shown, in order not to distract the visitor from the main focus of the showcase: the people pictured in the shots.
The graphic approach is based on the typographical variations of two typefaces, a serif and a sans serif, without adding other symbolisms or graphics.
La brochure raccoglie tutte le opere presenti alla mostra, con data e luogo in cui sono state fotografate.
The catalogue contains all the photos seen at the exhibition, with captions containing the place and time of the shot.
Il pieghevole è stato disribuito nei giorni prima dell'inaugurazione nella mostra. Contiene le biografie del fotografo e alla curatrice, e un breve testo che parla delle tematiche raffigurate nelle immagini esposte.
The trifold brochure was handed a few days before the beginning of the exhibition. It includes the biographies of the photographer and curator, and a short essay about the main themes related to the photos.
